At the Feet of Mother Meera:
The Lessons of Silence

by Sonia Linebaugh

Mother Meera is a spiritual avatar—a Mother to all spiritual seekers no matter what their beliefs or traditions.

Her main purpose "is to help humans and make them happy, peaceful, contented, harmonious, and loving. Happiness and spiritual growth are connected. Being peaceful and being happy form the most important foundation of spiritual practice. Then the practice goes by itself."

Darshan is the bestowal of Love, Light and Grace. It is Mother Meera's gift to humanity, and it is bestowed free of charge.

Mother Meera gives Darshan in silence. We touch her feet while she holds our head and then she gazes into our eyes. She does not lecture or require any initiation, practices or techniques. The change in us begins from the inside.

Mother Meera has offered Darshan in her native India and, since 1982, at her home in Germany. In 2006 she began to offer Darshan throughout the world. Mother Meera's 2008 Tour includes Washington, D.C. See the entire schedule at www.mothermeeradarshan.org.

Sonia LinebaughSonia Linebaugh first visited Mother Meera in 1992. Since then she has made many trips to receive Mother's darshan first in Thalheim and now in Schaumburg, Germany, and elsewhere. She's written four articles and two books about Mother Meera. At the Feet of Mother Meera: The Lessons of Silence (Xlibris 2004) and Conversations at Breakfast: Touched by the Divine Mother (not yet published). Sonia and her husband Dave live along the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland, USA.

Mother Meera's American Visit

Mother Meera made her third visit to North America in August and September 2008. She gave darshan to thousands of people at 18 cities in the USA and Canada.

I was one of the volunteers in Washington, D.C. I couldn't help but notice that people came into the darshan hall looking like they were carrying the cares of the world. Mother Meera touched each head and looked into each pair of eyes. They left looking radiant and soft.

Mother Meera plans another North American visit in April-May 2009. The complete schedule and information on reservations will be posted at these sites as soon as we have the information:
